That’s Why You Need Nanocrystalline and Amorphous Cores for Components
Amorphous and nanocrystalline materials, as modern soft magnetic
materials, are increasingly used in the production and research and development
of CMC. After long-term optimization and testing, SAT Amorphous, as a leading
supplier of magnetic cores in the industry, has designed and developed a series
of high-quality related products for ABB, SE and other companies. It has made
outstanding contributions to improve product performance.
The nanocrystalline core has a high magnetic permeability in the low
frequency to high frequency range. They are very suitable for common mode
chokes as EMC filters to compress conducted common mode noise. Compared with
traditional ferrite cores, nanocrystalline cores have many advantages, such as
high inductance, good filtering effect, small size and volume, lower copper
turns, lower power consumption, and higher efficiency. The Curie temperature of
the nanocrystalline core is very high, about 560°C, much higher than the
conventional ferrite core of about 200°C. Therefore, the nanocrystalline core
has excellent thermal stability and can work continuously at temperatures up to
120°C. At the same time, the nanocrystalline core is the best choice for the
application of common mode chokes.

Power Transformer
Nanocrystalline cores used in high frequency and high power transformers have high saturation magnetic flux density, high permeability, low iron loss, low saturation magnetostriction and good temperature stability. It is widely used as a switching power supply for unipolar, push-pull or bipolar high-frequency high-power main transformer cores. High saturation magnetic flux density and low iron loss are the main requirements of transformers, and the nanocrystalline core has two properties at the same time. Transformers using nanocrystalline cores have the following characteristics:
> Small size,
> High efficiency,
> Low core loss,
> Low temperature rise,
> Good temperature stability,
